Boston Whaler Debuts Montauk 210
Boston Whaler has expanded its classic Montauk series with the release of the new 210 Montauk, Whaler’s largest Montauk to date.
The 210’s size allows for an expansive forward deck area, which includes a standard fishbox and anchor locker, with the option to add a sun lounge with tilt-up backrests. A convertible cooler seat with backrest in the bow offers 94 quarts of storage, while 6 rod holders are affixed to the console behind the cooler seat.
The wide aft gunwales feature 4 rod holders, and a molded swim platform conceals a telescoping ladder for easy water access.
The console also features easy-to-read instrumentation, 2 cup holders, space for factory-installed Raymarine electronics, and an acrylic windscreen with stainless-steel grab rail. Owners can also opt for an audio system with USB and MP3 inputs so they can play music off an iPod or smartphone.
Aft of the helm, a reversible pilot seat includes storage below, while dual aft platforms offer more storage beneath molded fiberglass lids. Owners can add an optional live well with a molded fiberglass base and lid, placed conveniently between the aft platforms. Compatible with the live well configuration, optional aft jump seats convert the rear platforms into port and starboard seats with snap-on cushions and comfortable backrests. Or, customers can swap the live well for a full aft bench seat for maximum seating capacity and more under-seat storage. An optional cockpit table increases the usefulness of the aft bench setup. The wide aft gunwales feature 4 rod holders, and a molded swim platform conceals a telescoping ladder for easy water access. Other options include a T-top, ski tow arch and split bow rails.
The 210 Montauk comes in a standard boat-motor-trailer package that includes a fuel-efficient 150-hp Mercury 4-stroke outboard capable of producing a top speed of 42 mph, or owners can opt for a 200-hp Mercury 4-stroke. The boat’s length helps accentuate the Montauk’s trademark Whaler reverse chine, allowing for a smooth, dry ride.
