About the Reel:

The Andros 5 II-Speed is a powerful and versatile 2-speed reel that can be used to take everything from fluke to school tuna. The reel offers a max drag setting of 24 lbs. (15 lbs. at strike) along with a “pull-bar” lever-drag system that eliminates frame flex. Helical-cut main and pinion gears ensure smooth operation, while the cold-forged, anodized-aluminum spool, frame and sideplates deliver maximum strength, lightness and reliability. The Andros 5 II-Speed weighs 15.2 oz. and holds 340 yrds. of 20 lb. mono. Gear ratios are 6.4:1 and 3.8:1.
