CapeCodOnline: It must be spring: The ‘Bees are buzzing around Santuit Pond [in Mashpee, Massachusetts] this week.
On Wednesday, Department of Public Works employees and company representatives gathered at the pond to install 6 much-anticipated SolarBee solar water circulators meant to improve the algae-plagued pond’s water quality.
“Hopefully we’ll be able to see fairly quickly some visual evidence that they’re functioning and helping,” DPW Director Catherine Laurent said.
