Toxic Algae Outbreak in Cape Cod Pond
The Cape Cod Times is reporting that the Massachusetts Department of Health is warning swimmers and boaters, and their pets, not to accidentally, or intentionally, drink any of the water in 172-acre Santuit Pond in Mashpee, on Cape Cod.
The pond has experienced an outbreak of blue-green algae, which can be toxic to humans and other mammals.
