Sign Up for Kennebec Explorers Camp
Kennebec Explorers Camp on Maine’s Merrymeeting Bay is designed to “foster a child’s natural curiosity in both the history and sciences.” Campers will explore Merrymeeting Bay, a unique and rare ecosystem with a dynamic history that make it one of America’s great waterways.
Through outdoor excursions and guided activities including hands-on projects, site visits to unique locations and boat cruises on the bay, campers will gain a sense of stewardship for this special place.
This program is made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Merrymeeting Bay Trust and the collaborative efforts of Cathance River Education Alliance and the Kennebec Estuary Land Trust.
Camp runs daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with early drop-off at 8:00 a.m. and late pick-up at 5:30 p.m. available. Campers should come prepared for indoor and outdoor activities. Snacks will be provided and campers should bring lunch. Recommended for ages 6-11.
