Sewage Disks Littering Cape Cod Beaches

Cape Cod Online: It may sound gross, but beachgoers can safely help pick up the thousands of plastic disks that drifted on to Cape Cod beaches after they were accidentally released from a New Hampshire wastewater plant, officials said Monday.
“They are not a biohazard,” Dan Pike, emergency management director for the town of Hooksett, New Hampshire, said. “This is actually a gigantic litter problem.”
