Quinebaug River Race a Big Success
Worcester Telegram & Gazette: The 26th annual Sturbridge Lions Club and Great Canadian American River Race and charity event [held Sunday, April 29] created a big splash for all ages.
Of 85 contestants, more than a dozen paddlers capsized, but there were no injuries, Sturbridge Lion and race organizer Dale F. Favreau said.
Some raced, while others put their canoe or kayak in the water for quality social time. It is a tradition and a family day for many.
