Quincy Polar Plunge a Chilly Event
Patriot Ledger: It had to be one of the shortest fundraisers in recent memory, but it was well attended. Despite snow and temperatures in the 20s, the annual John Hancock Birthday Polar Plunge at Wollaston Beach drew its best crowd yet Saturday morning, said Quincy Beaches and Coastal Commission Chairman Leo Kelly.
“John Hancock was a bit of a rabble-rouser himself,” Kelly said. “ I think he’d be proud.”
