Suffolk Times has a sneak peek video of the 53-passenger ferry that could link the North and South Forks of eastern Long Island later this month if Sag Harbor Village and Suffolk County officials approve the plan.
Sag Harbor Village has amended its anti-ferry code to allow the water taxi to operate on a 100-day trial. A vote on the Peconic Bay Water Jitney application is expected on June 12. If approved, the Suffolk County Legislature will vote on the ferry’s fares and schedule on June 19.
