Oyster Farm Proposed in Tiverton, RI

EastBayRI.com: A subcommittee of Rhode Island’s Coastal Resources Management Council will hear more testimony on a proposed oyster farm in Tiverton’s Nanaquaket Pond on Thursday, May 19.

The hearing began last Wednesday, April 13, at Tiverton High School and drew about 60 people—a show of hands indicated that the majority were opposed to the plan. Time ran out before all who wished to speak could be heard.
