Norwell, MA, Prepares for Great River Race

WickedLocal Scituate: Each year, Paula Christie and her team of volunteers work hard to make the Great River Race on the North River a success.

Christie has been organizing this event for the last 21 years to raise money for the North and South River’s Watershed Association and to bring a little family fun to the South Shore.
“It’s really become a tradition for lots of people,” said Christie, adding that she has several participants returning each year with new generations of their family.
The race offers several events for all ages, including the single kayak, the double kayak, rowing, family canoeing and races for seniors.

- Registration: 10:00 a.m. and ends at 11:15 a.m.
- Race Begins: 11:30 a.m.
