New Bedford Harbor Cleanup Funding Agreement Reached
SouthCoastToday: The decades-long battle between the city of New Bedford and outlying communities for control of remediation money for the pollution of New Bedford Harbor officially ended Monday with both sides happy.
The Harbor Trustee Council formally awarded $6.6 million to environmental restoration projects in both the city and the suburbs that aim to replace natural resources damaged by decades of polychlorinated biphenyl contamination in the New Bedford Harbor.
