New Bedford Fishermen’s Memorial Back on Track
SouthCoastToday: After years of failed attempts to raise a monument to the commercial fishermen of New Bedford, the members of the Fisheries Tribute Fund committee believe that their long-sought goal is now within reach.
With a new site identified, a new design and an attainable fundraising goal, a monument could be in place sometime next year, according to Deb Shrader, committee president.
