NESS Youth Surf Competition at Misquamicut, RI
New England Science & Sailing Foundation (NESS) will hold its first annual “Catch a Curl” Surf Competition for Youth at the Misquamicut State Beach, Rhode Island, on Saturday, September 22.
The event is open to beginners and advanced surfers with an array of prizes for surfing categories by ability that include “young ripper” solo events. NESS and Narragansett Surf Shop will have surfboards and wetsuits available for rent.
Registration is $35 per person and includes lots of prizes for anything from catching one’s first wave to slashing or ripping waves.
Registration takes place at the event from 8:30-9:30 a.m. or in advance by contacting NESS via email at office@nessf.org or calling (860-535-9362).
The competition begins Sept. 22 at 10:30 a.m. at the Main Pavilion at Misquamicut State Beach and runs until early afternoon.
