Marion to Bermuda Race Begins
The annual 645-mile Marion-Bermuda sailing race kicks off today in Marion, Massachusetts, in upper Buzzards Bay. The race, which has been held each year since 1977, “provides an opportunity for cruising yachts and amateur crews to participate in an ocean race and a rendezvous in Bermuda. It encourages the development of blue water sailing skills on seaworthy yachts that can be handled safely offshore with limited crew.”
The Marion Bermuda Race is a 501(c)(3) organization and among other educational efforts, supports Youth Sailing programs.
