Man Drowns off Bath, ME
Kennebec Journal: The Bath Police Department has released the name of a man who drowned Thursday morning in the Kennebec River.
According to a press release, the man was John C. Farrell, 51, of York Street. A person walking a dog at Bath’s South End Park noticed Farrell trying to swim in the river at around 6:40 a.m. Thursday [December 29]. The person was able to flag down a nearby security boat, which was on patrol in the waters around Bath Iron Works.
