Maine Maritime Museum to Host Canoe & Kayak Building Course
Stitch and Glue Night Heron from Chesapeake Light Craft
The Maine Maritime Museum in Bath, Maine, is hosting a course on building a wooden kayak or canoe, using stitch-and-glue kits from Chesapeake Light Craft. There are several styles to choose from. Material fee varies from $850 to $1,000, depending on selected model.
Classes meet Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. from February 2 through April 27, 2011, in the Museum’s Boatshop. Shop time is available during the week to make up for any missed classes.
