Maine Adds New Ferry to Fleet
For the first time in 19 years, Maine is adding a new ferry to its fleet serving the state’s islands, according to an article in the Portland Press Herald.

In an event in Rockland, Maine on Friday (April 20), the Capt. E. Frank Thompson, named after a former long-time ferry skipper, was christened at the Rockland Ferry Terminal. State transportation officials say the new $10.3 million vessel can transport up to 250 passengers and 22 vehicles.
