Long Island Marina Expansion Causes Stir
Town officials in Huntington, New York are reportedly planning a $1 million expansion of the Woodbine Marina that would add boat slips, a decision that doesn’t please the Northport Board of Trustees and some community members, according to an article on NorthShoreofLongIsland.com.
At a meeting last week, some residents said the expansion could increase parking problems and ruin views of nearby Cow Harbor Park. Some also complained that the process of choosing who gets a slip is unfair.
