LI Soundkeeper Honored at Oregon River Rally
TheHour.com: Reflecting his passion to protect and preserve waterways around the globe, Terry Backer recently received the “River Hero” award from the River Network.
Backer, director of Norwalk-based Soundkeeper, accepted the award during a ceremony at River Rally 2012 held in Portland, Oregon. The River Hero award, an international award now in its 12th year, honors individuals who have made substantial contributions to the river and watershed conservation community.
