Hull, MA, Polar Plunge Raises Money for Charity
Patriot Ledger: While the noontime air temperature on Saturday was warmer than usual at about 40 degrees, Emily Hutchinson was shivering as she stood on a walkway at Nantasket Beach [in Hull, Massachusetts].
Hutchinson has been involved with the Wellspring Multi-Service Center for decades, and this was her third time taking part in the annual Drowned Hogs Polar Plunge, a fundraiser for Wellspring.
“I know it’s warmer than last year,” she said, “but I have to tell you, the water doesn’t feel a whole heck of a lot warmer.”
