The three-masted ship Friendship, an icon of historic Derby Wharf in Salem, Massachusets, will return home in early May, according to an article in the Salem News.

The Friendship, a replica of a 1797 merchant vessel, has been away from Salem for six months for repairs. She is expected to return from a shipyard in Fairhaven sometime in the first two weeks of May, said Jonathan Parker, public information officer for the National Park Service. While in Fairhaven, she has been pulled from the water to have her hull cleaned and repainted. Repairs also include new hardware, rigging and a lot of carpentry work.
