Coast Guard rescue crews medically evacuated a 25-year-old male from the fishing vessel Integrity, an 88’ fishing vessel, approximately 50 miles south of Martha’s Vineyard, at 2:23 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14.

Watchstaders at the Sector Southeastern New England command center were notified at 1:13 p.m., from the crew of the fishing vessel Integrity reporting that a 25-year-old male crewmember was experiencing heat-stroke like symptoms and was in need of medical attention.

An Air Station Cape Cod MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew was launched and safely hoisted and transported the crewmember to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, R.I.

The crewmember was reported to be unresponsive.
