CT Railroad Bridges to Remain Closed for Storm

With the approach of Hurricane Irene and considering it’s reported and anticipated strength, the 5 movable Amtrak railbridges in Southeastern Connecticut will be closing, locked and unmanned as of 12:01 a.m. Sunday morning, and will stay down and locked and unmanned until 4:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon (16 hours) when the storm is expected to have passed.
