The New Haven Register reports on the unveiling of a new 2-year action plan to restore and protect the health of Long Island Sound. The plan was announced Tuesday in New Haven, Connecticut, and involves 4 primary goals:
Protect clean water and promote a healthy Sound:
Maintain safe, healthy habitat for all things that live in the Sound
Build LI Sound communities that work
Invest in an economically vibrant Sound
The current action plan is intended to serve until a more comprehensive 10-year plan can be created.
