Abandoned Innertube Sparks CG Search
Newburyport News: The Coast Guard spent almost 3 hours on Sunday, July 17, searching for the owner of an innertube after the flotation device was spotted off the coast by beachgoers on Salisbury Beach, Massachusetts.
But according to Petty Officer First Class Ben Molnar, the 14-year-old owner had previously abandoned the innertube and safely swum back to shore.
