The 2012 Fisherman Fund Tournament will be held from September 1 to September 29. The tourney will feature cash and gear prizes for the largest striper and bluefish caught anywhere in Massachusetts. It is a boat and shore tournament.

Registration Fees:

• Boat Division $40
• Shore Division $40
• Both $60

Prizes:

For each Striped Bass Division:

• 1st Place: $1,000 & Prize Pkg
• 2nd Place: $750 & Prize Pkg
• 3rd Place: $500 & Prize Pkg

For Each Junior and Bluefish Division:

• 1st Place: Rod + Reel & Assorted Lure Pkg
• 2nd & 3rd Place: Assorted Lure Pkg

Tournament proceeds will help fund the Fisherman Statue of legendary surf fisherman Stan Gibbs, which will represent past, present and future fishermen.

The statue will hopefully be displayed at the Bourne Scenic Park on the Cape Cod Canal.

The awards ceremony will take place on the banks of the Cape Cod Canal in Buzzards Bay at the end of September.
