Public Hearings on New MA Stripers Rules Start Tomorrow
The first of 2 public hearings will be held Tuesday evening at 6:00 to gather input on proposed rules changes in the Massachusetts striped bass fishery.
The 2 proposed rules changes are as follows:
- mandatory use of circle hooks when fishing with natural bait
- prohibition on the use of so-called yo-yo rigs
The meeting on November 29 will be held at the CoCo Key Hotel and Water Resort in Danvers.
A second hearing will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Radisson Hotel Plymouth Harbor in Plymouth.
Concerned fishermen can also send comments on the rules changes via email to jared.silva@state.ma.us.
