Provincetown Light-Tackle Stripers
Just got off the water after a tremendous morning of striper fishing off the tip of Cape Cod with Capt. Jeff Smith of FinAddiction Charters.
We launched out of Pamet Harbor in pea soup fog, but didn’t have to run far to find the fish, which were busting on top as they chased what we presumed to be mackerel. In short order we were hooked up on light spin and fly gear with bass up to 25 pounds. I even took my biggest striper on fly to date, despite Jeff’s thumbing his nose at the fish gods by bringing a banana onboard! For Pete’s sake, Jeff! I don’t need that kind of handicap!
We were back at the ramp by noon, with just enough water in the channel for Jeff to haul his 26′ Albin diesel. As for me, I’m heading home to review all the video footage for an upcoming BoatingLocal production….Stay tuned!
