Oak Bluffs Challenge Offshore Tournament
Castafari Inc. will present the 2011 Oak Bluffs Challenge, hosted by Nancy’s Restaurant and Oak Bluffs Marina. The new tourney is designed as a world-class bluewater fishing event, and will take place September 15 through 18.
The Oak Bluffs Challenge is open to the public, catering to all fishing enthusiasts with vessels that have the range to fish the Northeast canyons. The bluewater fishing south of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island rivals that of big-game fishing venues around the world, and the Mid-September time frame should offer a productive night fishery for tuna and swordfish. The event will encompass an overnight adventure, allowing entrants to fish for 2 straight days before returning to the dock.
Refund Policy: Since canyon fishing is entirely dependent on weather, Castafari Inc. has established a “bail out” plan in case the tournament is cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather. The decision to cancel the event will be made on or before September 14, 2011. If the tournament is cancelled, all registered entrants will receive the following:
- Oak Bluffs Marina will hold only 1 day of dockage deposit, which can be used any time until 9/30/12.
- Full refund on entry fee, minus a 20% administrative cost to cover captain’s bags, apparel, T-shirts, staff fees.
- A captain’s bag to be shipped to the address on the registration form. The captain’s bag value will be greater than the money kept to provide it.
