Goose Hummock Shop in Orleans, Massachusetts, reports on the latest action around the Cape.
Our customers are buying us out of Yo-Zuri L-Jack Jigs, Deadly Dicks and small Kastmasters chasing all the albies and bonito that are hanging around Chatham the past week. While most of the action is with the boat crowd, plenty of shorebound anglers are catching them off of Hardings Beach and Red River Beach in Harwich.
The bayside has an abundance of bluefish, both large and small. The bass are around, but can be hard to catch or scarce on some tides.
The bass bite is much more consistent off the new cut in Chatham and Monomoy. We have had quite a few customer reports of decent bass catches at Nauset and Coast Guard Beach with live eels at night.
