They are still catching plenty of big bass, but the bluefish have arrived in such numbers that they are hard not to catch. From the outer beaches, to the bays, to the offshore grounds, blues in the 5 -10 pound class are abundant.

To catch the bass in decent numbers, you will have to find a spot the bluefish are not to get an offering to them. The highliners are still using long wire and diamond jigs to get their limits of bass. READ MORE HERE

Small bluefin tuna are providing great sport for the folks fishing off the backside of the Cape this week. Most reports have them chasing bait only 1-3 miles offshore. Ron Z’s in the 10” size have been the popular lure choice.
