First Spin-Caught Bluefin of 2012 Taken off Cape Cod

Captain Eric Stewart of The Hook-Up in Orleans, Massachusetts, reports that the first bluefin tuna to be taken locally on spinning gear in 2012 was caught on Thursday, May 24, “in a place not so common for tuna.”
He also reported that another tuna was fought for over 2 hours before being lost.
