Capt. Dave Bitters of Bayman Guide Service reports that the action on Duxbury Bay has been excellent. On Monday, May 14, Bitters and his charter party landed 39 stripers, among them 3 keepers, all taken on light tackle and fly gear.

Here’s some of his report:

“At first light, we found schools of fish scattered around the bay, busting bait on top. Gulls were working overheard, and we ran from school to school picking off fish with fly and light-tackle gear. Jackson caught the biggest fish of 35” inches on light tackle; the fish was released. The bait is very small, about 1” long, skinny, with an olive back and silver side, and black pupil.”
