The fish was taken on a live scup (porgy) on Wednesday, May 23. It measured 57” long, with a girth of 32 ”, which according to the IGFA’s measurement formula puts the fish at 74 3/4 pounds. Regardless of the exact weight, the fish is surely the largest striped bass captured on video. After measuring the fish, Anderson attempted to release the fish, but was unsuccessful.
