Canal Bait & Tackle in Sagamore, Massachusetts, is now accepting registrations for its 2012 Striped Bass Tournament, which runs Mother’s Day (May 13) through Father’s Day (June 17).

Grand prizes

Boat Division:

  • Photo/Canal Bait and Tackle

    1st: $500

  • 2nd: $200
  • 3rd: $100

Shore Division:

  • 1st: $500
  • 2nd: $200
  • 3rd: $100

Tournament Information:

Dates: May 13, 12:00 a.m. to June 17, 5:00 p.m.

Entry Fee: $20 per division; both divisions $35

Tournament Rules:

  • Fish must be caught and weighed in by the person entered in the tournament.
  • To enter a fish, you must have registered 24 hours before weigh-in.
  • Heaviest striped bass will win each division.
  • All fish must be weighed in at Canal Bait and Tackle.
  • No age restrictions or junior division.
  • All fish weighed in will be marked, to assure that no fish is weighed twice.
  • No refunds after application and entry fee is collected.
  • All fish must be caught on rod-and-reel, and with a hook.
  • All fish must be caught in Massachusetts waters.
  • You can enter tourney at any time.
  • One striped bass can be weighed in per day.
  • If you are entered in both divisions, you are eligible to win both divisions, but with different fish.
